About Karen Adjei

Karen Adjei is a recent MLIS graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. She currently works at Atla as their Member Programs Coordinator, supporting the professional development of librarians involved in theology and religion. She has professional interests in academic, theological, and international librarianship with specializations in special collections and exhibitions. While obtaining her degree, she had the privilege of curating her first exhibition using special collections from the Gordon W. Prange Collection, the most comprehensive archive in the world of Japanese print publications issued during the early years of the Occupation of Japan, 1945-1949. She is passionate about empowering communities through the arts and culture, organizational excellence, reconciliation, information access, and joy-inspiring experiences.
