About Sarah Lamdan

Sarah Lamdan is a Professor of Law at CUNY School of Law with a Master's Degree in Legal Information Management. She works on data justice issues and teaches administrative law, open government, data privacy, and legal research and writing courses.

Sarah Lamdan's book, Environmental Information: Research, Access & Environmental Decisionmaking was published by the Environmental Law Institute in 2017, and she has written extensively about records access laws including the Freedom of Information Act and the Presidential Records Act. In 2015, her Library Quarterly article, Social Media Privacy, A Rallying Cry to Librarians, promoted corporate accountability for privacy design and defaults on social media platforms. Sarah Lamdan also works on environmental information access issues with the Environmental & Data Governance Initiative.
